Importance of Surah Yaseen
All Quran Surahs are equally important. However, some Surahs have special benefits and virtues that we know some of, while Allah The Almighty knows them all. Surah Yaseen (or: Surah Yasin) is one of these special Surahs, as Prophet Muhammad called it “The Heart Of Quran”.
Surah Yaseen is the 36th surah of the Quran. It’s a Meccan Surah and has 5 Rukus and 83 verses. It also has 3 main themes that pretty much sum up the whole message of the Quran. These three themes are:
- Tawheed (saying that Allah is one and only)
- Risalah: Muhammad (PBUH) is the messenger of Allah to humanity.
- The Judgment Day (Yaum Al Qiyamah)
Benefits of Reading Surah Yaseen
Prophet Muhammad once said:
“Everything has a heart and the heart of the Holy Quran is Yaseen. Allah will record anyone who recites Yaseen as having recited the Holy Quran ten times.”

Highly Rewarding
Reading Surah Yasin is equivalent to reading the whole Quran 10 times! Imagine starting or ending your day with the reward of reading the whole Quran in a matter of minutes. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) once said:
“Whoever reads Surah Yaseen, Allah rewards him that is equal to that of reading the whole Quran ten times.”

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

Everyone likes to be offered forgiveness of Allah, and Surah Yaseen is your gateway to this forgiveness.
If a believer makes sure to recite Surah Yasin before going to sleep only to gain the pleasure of Allah Almighty, then he must be confident that his sins are forgiven while he is asleep. Yes, As simple as that! our Prophet Muhammad PBUH said:
“Whoever recited Surah Yaseen at the night seeking Allah’s approval, Allah would forgive him.”

A Way Of Fulfilling Needs
Muslims use Surah Yaseen recitation in fulfilling their needs. Following the Prophet (PBUH) Hadith:
“Whoever reads Surah Yaseen at the beginning of the day, all his needs for that day would be fulfilled.”
So all you need to do is recite it at the beginning of the day (after Fajr) and wait for all the goodness doors to be opened for you during your day.

Reward For Reciting, Reading, Writing, And Listening
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), when he was asked about the meaning of “Dafiah” and “Qadiyah” that he described Surah Yasin with, and he said:
“It takes away from its reader all afflictions and fulfills his need. Whoever recites it, it will be made equal to twenty pilgrimages. Whoever shall listen to it, it will be as thousand dinars, which he has given as charity in the path of Allah. And whoever shall write it and then drink it, it will enter into his heart a thousand cures, a thousand radiant lights, a thousand times more increase in belief, a thousand mercies, a thousand blessings, a thousand times more increase in guidance, and will remove from him all gall and disease.”

Benefits of Surah Yaseen For Marriage
Since it solves all worldly problems, Surah Yaseen is also effective in marriage-related issues. Whether it’s a proposal, pre-marriage, or mid-marriage issues, reciting Surah Yaseen will get you through it all.
As an effective way, try reciting the whole Surah seven times every day in one sitting. It takes a matter of minutes and the reward is unbelievable. After reciting, perform Dua with whatever you desire and it will occur as soon as Allah approves.
Surah Yaseen Ayat (58) Benefits
Ayah 58 in Surah Yaseen says:
“[And] “Peace,” a word from a Merciful Lord.”
“salamun qawlan min rabbin rahimin”
Many Quran teachers claimed that this ayah, in particular, has the benefit of surviving all horrors. The benefit of this ayah is that you can recite it whenever you feel terrified on anything, and Allah will bestow his peace upon you.
Reading Surah Yaseen For The Sick
It is narrated in the tradition of Harith bin Abu Umama that:
“Whoever recites Surah Yaseen, then if he is in fear, he will gain peace and safety. If he is sick, he will be cured. If he is starved, Allah will nourish him”
(Ad-Daa’i wad Dawaa)
That means that if a sick person reads Surah Yaseen, Allah will heal him from whatever is sickening him. Muslims also are known to recite Surah Yaseen near sick people who are unable to recite themselves, and they ask Allah to heal them.
Benefits Of Reciting Surah Yaseen After Fajr
Reciting Surah Yaseen at the very beginning of the day (after Fajr) can fulfill all your needs on that day. Reading it every day after Fajr fulfills all your worldly needs and helps your Dua be accepted.
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the one who promised that when he said:
“He who lights Surah Yaseen at the beginning of the day, all his needs for that day”.
